This 3 day course focuses on establishing an intervention framework to achieve optimal outcomes. Special attention is given to the design and dosing of therapeutic exercise using hand-held dynamometry. With a balanced mix of lecture and lab, this course enables clinicians to immediately implement comprehensive and precise interventions to improve a client’s movement and function.

Objectives

  • Perform hand-held dynamometry and the Clinical Fatigue Test (CFT) to establish the appropriate therapeutic exercise dose for neuro-muscular performance

  • Demonstrate the continuum of care model: biomechanical – biopsychosocial to facilitate therapeutic exercise adherence

  • Apply biomechanical principles and hand-held dynamometry for appropriate therapeutic exercise design

  • Perform the Expanded Test of Sensory Integration and Balance and Dual Task Learning to appropriately challenge the sensory-neuro-motor control system
